Induction program for MCA 2022-2024 batch kick started with a Four Days induction programme with the aim to ensure every student feels welcomed, engaged and excited to begin this new important stage in their education. Dr. Deepali Sawai Director of IICMR MCA inducted event with guidance to MCA aspirants about how to set the milestones for their goals and to achieve success in their life. Mrs. Renu Mathew HOD of MCA department has shared the knowledge about Outcome Based Education and Code of Conduct with students. Later academic orientation, departmental committees and practices orientation delivered followed by faculty introduction. Day 2 commenced with orientation to departments best practice ‘Ananpana’ Meditation session by Mrs. Kiran Shinde, Assistant Professor, IICMR-MCA. Later Students were engaged with zumba session at ground by Ms. Sanjana Nilajkar, Zumba Trainer. Later session on ‘UHV (Universal Human Values): Living in Harmony with family, society, and rest of the Nature’ was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Mate, Assistant Professor, IICMR-MCA. Day 2 concluded with activity ‘Happy Hours’ where students enjoyed food stalls and game zone arranged by MCA 2 students. Day 3 started with guidance session by Mr. Kamlesh Jagdale, India Lead - University Recruiting and Early Talent Programs, Nutanix. Day 3 concluded by session on ‘Industry Expectations from Young Workforce’ by Mr.  Rahul Uplap, Head - Education & Competency Development (ECoDe), Associate Vice President, KPIT Technologies Limited. Day 4 planned with an outbound activity to ‘Sunny’s World, Pune Resort and Adventure Park’. Along with adventurous rides, students enjoyed Team building activities and management games

Induction program is an initiative to groom the overall personality of students and make them acquainted with the culture of the institution. The 19^th Induction Programme for the students of First Year-MCA was held from 22nd Dec -23rd Dec 2021. The aim of the program was to ensure that every student feels welcomed, engaged and excited to begin this new important stage in their education.

The Programme started with the Lamp Lighting by all Dignitaries Chief Guest Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, Director- Kinetic Communications Ltd. Member Executive Committee MCCIA, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR-MCA, Ms.Renu Mathew,HOD-MCA. Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director,IICMR-MCA briefed about Steadfast Progression of ATSS and MCA course @IICMR which includes Infrastructure, Certification Programmes, Employability Enhancement Program, Innovative Group Assignments, Mentoring System, Collaboration with IT Industries, TechnoCase, IT-Conclave, ARKO, Placement etc.

Chief Guest Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, Director- Kinetic Communications Ltd. Member Executive Committee MCCIA enlightened students on ‘IT success mantra 2023++’. He briefed on the lifecycle changes during lockdown period. He urged students to acquire current technology trends, domain knowledge and to learn global languages like Japanese.

IICMR-MCA Alumni and 2^nd Rank University Topper Ms. Aparna Bhagwat shared her experience and college memories virtually. She thanked all MCA Faculty Members for their motivation and support. The inaugural session is concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Kiran Shinde.

The post lunch session started with the address by Ms.Renu Mathew HOD-MCA on OBE i.e Outcome Based Evaluation and techniques and methods to be successful in MCA. After that faculty introduction is given by all faculty members. Ms. Kiran Shinde, Coordinator MCA-I, explained about Bridge Course details, Subject Allocation, Rules and Regulations etc. She announced the names of MCA-I Classes as ‘Code Warriors’ and ‘Technocrats’. Also, informed about semester-wise add-on courses and International Certifications offered by IICMR.

Ms. Meghana Mokashi, Training and Placement Officer, explained about last year placement, List of companies, Pre-placement activities @ IICMR such as - Aptitude Sessions, Mock interviews, HR-Session, Resume Writing Sessions. Mr. Sanjay Mate, College Examination Officer-IICMR, explained about Internal and External examination policy, CBCS Pattern, CPGA, SGPA, internal Marks distribution etc.

Ms.Vandana Pednekar explained about ARKO, life skill and ASR activities conducted at IICMR. Dr.Manik, Librarian, IICMR-MCA informed about the usage of library and various activities. Mr.Sanjay Mathapati  explained about mentoring activity at IICMR. He explained about class mentors, group mentoring activities and one-to-one mentoring and outbound activities. He also explained about Psychometric Test. Ms. Swati Kirange briefed students about the Quizzomania Activity conducted at IICMR. Finally Ms.Rupali Bhangale gave demonstration of IICMR Website.  

DAY 02:  23^rd Dec 2021

Second day started with the Yoga session. The session was conducted by Yoga experts Ms. Rutuja Patil and Ms. Jui Pangare. Students practiced asanas as per the instructions of the trainer.

Expert Speaker Dr. Amol Goje, Chairman BOS was the Hon. Chief Guest of the day, who delivered an expert session on ‘Introduction to Block Chain’. Sir explained concepts like pointers, security, cryptography etc to students. He explained the properties and applications of blockchain technology with the practical demonstration. Vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Rupali Bhangale.

In post lunch session Local place visit of students was conducted, they were taken to Ganesh Talav Garden , Nigdi. Management games and group activities were conducted by Mr.Santosh Makude. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed a lot.

As part of Induction program, out bound activity was organized on 24^th December 2021 at Rio resort, Kasarsai, Pune. Students have enjoyed various activities like boating, trekking, and sports.

IICMR- MCA 2020-2022 batch kick started with a Two Days induction programme on Saturday 30th January 2021 with the auspicious digital lamp lighting by Dr. Parag Kalkar, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Dr. Harold D'Costa, Guest of Honour, President - Cyber Security Corporation and CEO - Intelligent Quotient Security System, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director –IICMR MCA and Ms. Renu Mathew, HoD MCA.
Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director –IICMR MCA addressed the students on “Steadfast Progression of ATSS & About MCA Programme”.
Dr. Harold D'Costa, President - Cyber Security Corporation and CEO - Intelligent Quotient Security System, delivered a session on “Cyber Crime Investigation: Rendering knowledge from the past to address the future” which was well received by the students.
Dr. Parag Kalkar, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, addressed the MCA students on “Revamp of MCA programme: To Ace the Career Race” where he highlighted how the latest MCA programme and the syllabus will help meet the IT industry expectations.
Ms. Preeti Nanaware,6th Rank holder at SPPU MCA Examination 2020, shared her learning experiences at IICMR MCA.
An Ice-breaking Session, Online Management Games was conducted by Mr. Manish Freeman, Founder of “Game-a-thon “, Non Competitive Games & Circular Dances Expert. The students enthusiastically participated in the games.

The Second Day of the induction programme started with a recap of Day 1 activities by Ms. Kiran Shinde, MCA First-year Coordinator. Ms Renu Mathew- HoD MCA in her address about MCA programme emphasized on the benefits of adoption of Outcome-Based Education. The students were oriented on -Course Outcomes and Programme Outcomes.
The second day of the induction programme exclusively focused on the department facilities, committees and activities. Each and every faculty introduced themselves with their educational qualifications and expertise.

Formal Semester Orientation Program was conducted on 4th Jan 2021 for MCA-III Semester-VI. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was organized online through Microsoft Team. Ms. Swati Kirange gave the welcome address. Dr. Deepali Sawai Director-MCA motivated and guided students about career development. HOD-MCA Ms. Renu Mathew spoke about importance of timely project completion.  Coordinator Mr. Sanjay Mathapati briefed on academic details and timetable implementation. Ms. Kiran Shinde elaborated on final project submission. TPO Mr. Yogesh Raje highlighted placement activities and internships. Ms. Arati Mhaisekar elaborated on open subject. Coordinator Mr. Sanjay Mathapati proposed vote of thanks.

Formal Semester Orientation Programme was organized on 4th Jan 2021 through MS Team Meeting for MCA-II students. 
Mr. Sanjay Mate, Co-Ordinator, MCAII addressed the Students and informed them regarding the Timetable, Subjects and  Syllabus and gave information regarding the same . Mr. Sanjay Mate MCAII, Coordinator introduced MCA-II Mentor, Ms. Pooja Kalange and briefed about the subjects in Semester- III. Dr. Deepali Sawai gave the welcome address and highlighted the importance of attendance. Ms. Renu Mathew ,HOD-MCA briefed about the importance about Blooms taxonomy and Course Outcome and Course Objectives. Mr. Yogesh Raje, placement coordinator brought about the plans for placement activities. Ms. Kalange briefed about Quizzomania which will be conducted through Google Classrooms and about the Life skill Activity Pre-requisites. Formal orientation ended with a motivational video at 11.00.

The Programme started with the Lighting the Lamp by all Dignitaries Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni, Secretary ATSS, Dr. Abhay Kulkarni – Director IICMR, Dr. Deepali Sawai Director MCA IICMR, Guest of Honor Dr. Deepak Shikarpur Director, Kinetic Communications Ltd. and Member Board of AICTE and  Chief Guest Mr. Rahul Kale, CEO Modular Infotech.
Dr. Deepak Shikarpur spoke on ‘The Career Avenues for MCA Graduates’. In his inspirational speech, he guided students about how businesses will be in 21st century and advised students to globalize their skills for sustainable growth. Chief Guest Mr. Rahul Kale, CEO Modular Infotech enlightened students on the topic ‘Software Development trends in 2020 and Strategies for coping with the future’.  He advised the students to update themselves with recent technologies to survive in this revolutionary and competitive era.
Achievers of IICMR – Quizzomania Star of the month award was given to Mr. Mahesh Solanke (MCA II) for the month of July with the hands of Mr. Rahul Kale and toppers of MCA were felicitated at the hands of dignitaries. Department Newsletter for August 2019 was released by the hands of dignitaries.
On second day:
Mr.Vijay Mukhedkar conducted meditation session and explained benefits of the “Vipassana” to relive the stress and improve concentration. Ms. Priya Deshpande, Coordinator MCA-I, explained about Time Table, Subject Allocation etc. She announced the names of MCA-I Classes as ‘Code Warriors’ and ‘Technocrats’. Ms. Sourabh Sharma, Potter’s Earth delivered the session on Corporate Etiquettes. He has shared tips for personal grooming and corporate dressing.
On 3rd Day:
Mr. Sagar has conducted different Management Games like ‘Oh my Chi Chi’ to allow students to get to know each other and mingle with other students. All the students actively participated in all the games and understood the importance to being team player thus created and positive environment and enthusiasm.The session was followed by the fun fair ‘Happy Hour @IICMR’ planned by the seniors to welcome their juniors. Stalls were arranged for snack items and various games. All the students have participated and enjoyed the event with great zeal.

He also highlighted some important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It was also conveyed to students that aptitude training sessions will be continued in this semester. Technical Director Dr. Deepali Sawai  congratulated students for Accreditaion from NAAC and advised students to participate in technical competitions such as Hackathon and Avishkar as it helps to improve basic concepts and get placed.Mr. Sanjay Mate   also added that mock technical interview sessions will be conducted by IICMR Alumni.

She also highlighted some important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. He also highlighted some important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is also conveyed to students that aptitude training sessions will be continued in this semester. Technical Director Dr. Deepali Sawai advised students to participate in technical competitions such as Hackathon and Avishkar as it helps to improve basic concepts and get placed. Mr. Mahesh Deshmukh, placement coordinator brought about the plans for placement activities. He also added that mock technical interview sessions will be conducted by IICMR Alumni.

Semester Orientation Programme was organized on 8^th January 2018 in SI-08 classroom for MCA-I students. Ms. Priya Deshpande, MCA-I coordinator introduced MCA-I Mentor, Ms. Asmita Choudhari and Ms. Gazal Nashte for Neptune and Mercury division and briefed about the subjects in Semester- II. Dr. Deepali Sawai gave the welcome address and highlighted the importance of Project and attendance. Also, Madam shared the details of upcoming events like International Conference, IT Conclave and Rainbow. Ms. Priya Deshpande discussed the syllabus & timetable of MCA I. She also shared importance of assignments and as a Add-on coordinator she shared the add-on course plans.

The semester orientation program for MCA III started at 11:00 a.m. Prof.Arati Mhaisekar  MCAIII  coordinator welcomed all the students and faculty members. Dr.Deepali Sawai, Director(Tech.) informed the students about the various activities planned in the current semester. Prof.Arati oriented the students about the SEM V projects. She told the students to pay due attention to SEM V projects as they are the important milestone in their curriculum.
The semester orientation program for MCA II started at 10 a.m. Prof.Renu, MCA II coordinator welcomed all the students and faculty members. Dr.Deepali Sawai,Director(Tech.) informed the students about the various activities planned in the current semester. She informed the students that both the divisions Sun and Microsoft will be combined together as the number of students in one class are less than 60. She also added that the name of the combined division will be Microsoft. She discussed about the feedback received from the students in the last semester and assured them that each and every feedback is read by her and wherever necessary the action is also taken for the same. She urged the students to prepare different android applications those will be useful in academics and informed them about the assignments. She ended her speech by asking the students to set the long term goal for the journey ahead and suggested faculty members to display the session plan for the students.
Prof. Renu informed about the various subjects in the current semester and the faculty members who will be teaching the subjects. She also told the students the importance of the aptitude sessions.
Prof. Monika discussed the time table with the students and introduced the newly joined faculty members Prof. Sumanto, Prof. Jincy Jomon and Prof. Ashwini Bakshi to the students. Prof. Sonal(WT project coordinator) and Prof. Mate (DS Project coordinator) talked about the WT and DS projects to be done in third semester. Prof. Usha talked about the add-on courses to be conducted in the next semester.

Dr. Priya Deshpande, MCA-I coordinator introduced MCA-I Mentor, Ms. Asmita Choudhari and Ms. Vandana Pednekar and briefed about the subjects in Semester- III. She shared the academic details. She also highlighted some important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is also conveyed to students that aptitude training sessions will be continued in this semester. Technical Director Dr. Deepali Sawai advised students to participate in technical competitions such as Hackathon and Avishkar as it helps to improve basic concepts and get placed. Prof. Renu Mathew explained the course structure for the current semester to the students. She also introduced the class mentors Prof. Sonal Kakar (Fedora) and Prof. Rupali (Redhat). Faculties introduced themselves and addressed the students regarding their expectations from the students. Prof. Rupali briefed the students about the Web technology project, which students will be carrying out this semester. Prof. Mate elaborated the academic schedule to the students. Prof. Archana guided the students about the efficient and effective use of the library. She also explained how to access the IEEE and EBSCO research papers. She had given guidelines about the different activities planned by the library like Library day on 12th of August, book exhibition, significance day display, News display etc.

Prof. Renu elaborated on group mentoring and corresponding activities. She also brushed up the students about the rules and regulation they should adhere to. She briefed the students about placement activities.
