Competition : TechnoCase 2020

ATSS’s Institute of Industrial and Computer Management and Research (IICMR), Nigdi, organized  one day State level Business Case Poster and C/C++ programming competition, TechnoCase 2020 on 25th January 2020. The competition proved to be the meeting ground for Industry and Academia. The event received an overwhelming response from 1172 students competing in the event for the first round. 358 students were shortlisted for the second round.

106 students participated in C/C++ programming (Code Battle) competition in second round from 28 colleges all over Maharashtra. 35 students competed for the final round. The colleges were from Nanded, Dhule, Shirpur, Amaravati, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Sangali, Miraj, Solapur, Pune and PCMC area.

The Winners of ‘Code Battle’ competition were:

Competition : TechnoCase2018

The field of IT is exciting but at the same time it is dynamic, it is volatile and challenging. As a student from IT field, one has to be prepared to develop IT solutions for a variety of business processes and challenges. IICMR MCA department organized TechnoCase 2018 a state level competition for the 8th consecutive year on 8th September, 2018. The main objective of TechnoCase is to provide the student community a platform, an opportunity to showcase their programming talent along with their analytical and logical skills in front the IT industry experts. The purpose of this competition was to reinforce and develop upon the concepts learnt in class rooms.

For PG we had Budding Consultant a Case study poster competition based on the theme, ‘Security Solutions for Smart Digital World’. For the UG students we had Code Battle (C programming) competition.

Application of Conceptual knowledge, Technical Know-How, Creative IT enabled solutions were the take away for participants and IT Experts who judged this Competition. The competition was judged by an elite panel of judges, Dr. Biju Nathan, Indus Software Technologies Pvt.Ltd., Mr. Moreshwar Balsing, NextGen Cloud Service Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Mandar Kulkarni, NetCracker, Mr. Divyesh Patel, Visteon Corporation, Mr.Bhushan Pawar, Emtec , Mr. Suraj Shinde, Systools, Mr.HrishikeshDeshpande,Xpansion International, Mr. Chatur ShriGanesh, Barcklays Technology & Mr. Ayyan Peerjade, Coditas Technologies. The chief guest for the valedictory function was Mrs. Shweta Kulkarni, VP- Projects, Harbinger Systems. The event witnessed  920 students competing from 11 different institutions from the state of Maharashtra. The winners & runners up were awarded with cash prize and trophies.

The competition proved to be the meeting ground for Industry and Academia. The event was partnered by Quick Heal Technologies Pvt. Ltd, ISTQB, Alphonso India, Angular Minds Pvt. Ltd. and iSuccessIT.

 The event received an overwhelming response from 1027 students competing in the event from 13 different colleges in and around Pune city.



Competition : TechnoCase 2016-State Level Competition

A one day State level Business Case Study and C/C++ programming competition, TechnoCase 2016 was orgainsed and the competition proved to be the meeting ground for Industry and Academia. The motive for conducting the competition is to provide a platform for UG & PG students to showcase their Technical skills, innovativeness and presentation skills. Mr. Mr.Sreeniwas  Vemulapalli, Director, Emtec Technologies Pvt.Ltd. inaugurated the competition. Mr. Sagar Mahajan, Founder, Angular Minds Pvt. Ltd. was the guest of honour. A total 1400 students from 21 colleges participated in TechnoCase 2016.

The event was partnered by Quick Heal Technologies Pvt. Ltd, ISTQB, Alphonso India, Angular Minds Pvt. Ltd. and iSuccessIT. The competition was judged by IT experts from Persistent Systems Ltd., Harman Connected Services, Quick Heal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Emtec Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

The valedictory function of TechnoCase 2016 was graced by Mr. Anup Thapliyal , CIO & India Country Head –IT , Credit Suisse as the Chief Guest. In his speech he highlighted that Positive attitude, confidence, good communication skills, adaptability to rapid changes, self-learning ability will help the students to progress in their career.

The prime objective of the competition was to provide a common platform for Industry and academia to interact and have a good learning.

State level, inter-collegiate case study, Android App and C/C++/VB project competition was organized by MCA department of IICMR on 19th and 20th Sept 2014. Around 64 students participated in Case study competition and 20 students participated in project competition. The colleges like PCCOE, RMD Sinhgad School of  Computer Studies , Pratibha Institute of Business Management, Indira College of Engineering and Management , D.Y. Patil Akurdi, ASM, ATSS chinchwad, IICMR Nigdi participated in the event.

 The competition was formally inaugurated on 19th Sept 2014 by Dr. Deepali Sawai,   Director( Technical) IICMR.

Audyogik Tantra Shikshan Sanshta’s Institute of Industrial and Computer Management and Research -MCA Department organized a two days student development initiative , IT Conclave 2019-20 on 21st and 22rd September 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Deepali Sawai, Technical Director, IICMR, where a galaxy of experts from IT organizations presented various topics and interacted with the students. It was an attempt to bring an opportunity for students & teaching fraternity at IICMR to interact with IT personnel from diverse backgrounds. It would give them a chance to peep into the realities that the Industry holds today

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Makaranda Gadre, CTO Hexanica PVT.LTD , Dr. Ranjit D. Patil, Vice-Principal and HOD of Computer Science Department. Dr.D Y Patil College Of Science, Commerce,Arts and , Directors Dr.DeepaliSawai, Dr.AbhayKulkarni, Dr.AshwiniKulkarni were present for the event. Various eminent persons visited to the institute for IT Conclave 2016 were Mr.Sumit Zarkar, Digital Marketing Head, Aarialife Technologies Pvt Ltd, Mr.Atul Bengeri, Director Acumen `Today Pvt Ltd, day Mr.Prabhakar G, Senior Tech Lead Persistent Systems Pvt Ltd, Ms.Ashwini Parshwanath,Director in CTO, from Credit- Suisse , Mr.Amol Dhanpalwar,Technology Architect,Sears, Mr.Sumit Morey, Mobile (IOS) Development, from Nuance India Pvt Ltd, Amol Dhanpalwar(Sears Holding India Ltd.),Sankar Solanke(Xoriant Solutions Pvt Ltd),Girish Agarwal (Altius Data Solution ),Kirti Mahamuni(Symantec Software India Pvt Ltd). Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director, IICMR, in her welcome address talked about the objectives of the IT Conclave program. She addressed the students about various career path available after MCA, how certifications are important for future career. She also mentioned the Track based syllabus pattern of MCA under SPPU to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.

Dr. Ranjit D. Patil, Vice-Principal and HOD of Computer Science Department. Dr.D Y Patil College Of Science, Commerce,Arts was the Guest of Honor for the event .He motivated the students with his insight topics. He conducted a wonderful session on “Career avenues for MCA graduates. Mr. Makaranda Gadre, CTO Hexanica PVT.LTD Chief Guest for the event , Guided the students on the topic of Data Science :Business Use Cases. He explained vague definition and interpretation of data along with data operations like acquisition, interference and prediction. After Lunch there was a session on- Careers in Digital Marketing which was conducted by Mr.Sumit Zarkar, Digital Marketing Head, Aarialife Technologies Pvt Ltd . Mr. Sumit guided students on basics of digital marketing , how to get in and various opportunities in digital marketing as a career. Mr.Atul Bengeri, Director Acumen `Today Pvt Ltd Spoke on- Big Data just got Bigger .

He explained students role of mathematics and statistics , computer science and business domain knowledge in data science. He also explained students that how advanced analytics, machine learning and data analytics plays important role in data science. At the end of the day Mr.Prabhakar G, Senior Tech Lead Persistent Systems Pvt Ltd Spoke on –Introduction to Chatbot , working of chatboat. He has given excellent demo on chatboat and its applications The program was compered by Ms. Pooja Kalange and MCA students. On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Ms. Renu Mathew.Ms.Ashwini Parshwanath,Director in CTO, from Credit- Suisse guided students on Information Management Systems . she includes cloud infrastructure, virtualization concepts in her speech, she also encouraged students for the international certification in cloud computing domain by giving information about it. Third session of the day was conducted by Mr.Amol Dhanpalwar,Technology Architect,Sears Holding India Ltd will Spoke on ‘-Introduction to Java Spring Boot Micro services ‘He explained introduction to micro service, architecture , tools required for micro service eco system. He conducted case study demonstration on granular levels micro systems. Further session for the day was by Mr.Sumit Morey, Mobile (IOS) Development, from Nuance India Pvt Ltd spoke on Session on –Flutter and IOS . he covered topics like types of apps, cross platform applications , system and software support for iOS and android. He also gave basic idea of DART language. After lunch, the day proceed with panel discussion on ‘-‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’ by Mr.Sumit Morey (Nuance India Pvt Ltd),Amol Dhanpalwar(Sears Holding India Ltd.),Sankar Solanke(Xoriant Solutions Pvt Ltd),Girish Agarwal (Altius Data Solution ),Kirti Mahamuni(Symantec Software India Pvt Ltd). The Panel Discussion was moderated by Dr. Priya Deshapandhe and Ms.Kiran Shinde. The second day sessions were compered by Ms.Pooja Kalange. All panelist guided students regarding basic prerequisites for IT career , mastering current trends, key skills required for getting job in IT industry. Students had asked many questions and got satisfied by the answers from the experts. Ms. Megha Desai proposed vote of thanks for the program IT conclave 2019-20.

On the first Day the session was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Kolharkar , Founder & Evangelist Opine Group, Member of BOS Savitribai Phule Pune university. In his inaugural speech on “Data Science for World Data Problems “, he discussed the various data driven decision strategies. He also spoke about customer retention techniques, BI approach and business challenges. The Guest of Honor , Dr. Amol Goje Chairman Board of Studies Savitribai Phule pune University , President of Society for Data Science, explained Basics of Blockchain. He also shared information on crypto currency with demonstration. In post lunch sessions, Mr. Mukand Nadgowda, Deputy Director (Projects ) at YASHADA Pune, shared information on e-Governance systems and its challenges. Later Mr. Nikhil Gokhale, Cybermate, delivered session on Cyber Security and Risk at internet. He also gave demonstration on how security breaches happen. It was an eye opening session for the students.

The second day of IT Conclave 2019 commenced with key concepts in Information Technology Service management by Mr. Hemant Arora , Symanctec . He also spoke about 3 essentials of ITSM and how automation transferring to disruption. Mr. Parag Shindekar, Project Manager Capgemini Technology Service India Ltd, addressed the students on Network and System security and discussed various components of computer network and end point security.
The second day concluded with a fruitful panel discussion on ‘Hot skills to be honed to kick start an IT career‘ by Mr. Mandar Kulkarni –(Netcracker Technology Solution), Mr. Narendra Nalamwar (CompuCom Services Pvt. Ltd. Pune) , Mr. Belal khan (Globant India) , Mr. Akhil Krishnakumar (Crest), and Mr. Kailash Shimpi (Centelon). Panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Priya Dheshpande and Mr.Sanjay Mathapati. The program was compered by Ms. Pooja Kalange and MCA students.

It was an attempt to bring an opportunity for students & teaching fraternity at IICMR to interact with IT personnel from diverse backgrounds. It would give them a chance to peep into the realities that the Industry holds today.

The objectives of the programme were:

  1. To develop Business Perspective need among Computer Management students with a view to strengthen their capabilities through interaction with varied Industry Experts.
  2. To enlighten students on scope for entrepreneurship
  3. To create awareness in upcoming trends in technology, work –life culture and various career paths.

The program was comprised of various learning sessions like

  2. Panel Discussion: -‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’

Ms. Kiran Shinde, gave welcome address to students and guest. Dr. Deepali Sawai addressed about the objectives of the IT Conclave program. She addressed the students about various career paths available after MCA, how certifications are important for future career.The program was inaugurated by Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group, Director, IICMR-MCA Dr.Deepali Sawai was present for the event.

Mr. Ajay Ghuge , Barclays – He spoke about various salesforce platforms and various certifications which are required career building.
Ms. Nikita sharma ,KPIT , shared her experience about her work as a DBA. She talked about current database trends.
Amatjit singh , PTC talked about augmented reality , artificial intelligence.
Mr. Sagar Shirodkar of Nuance Communications, told about latest trends in BI, Data Warehousing as well as what are the pre requisite for starting career in the same.
Mr. Ayyan Peerjade of Coditas Technologies Pvt. Ltd ., explained about mobile platforms and development of hybrid and native applications. He also shared his experience being a freelancer.
Mr. Chatur Shriganesh , Barclays, cleared the doubt of student regarding testing myths. He also shared his views regarding test driven development. He further talked about team behaviour, team work, passion about work which helps improvement in skills.
The day concluded with a fruitful panel discussion on -‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’ under the moderation of Mr. Sanjay Mathapati and Ms. Kiran Shinde. Panelists shared their views which are as follows:
Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group shared do’s and don’t about resume writing. He explained importance of resume for getting job in industry. He also talked about facts of resume writing with examples.


WorkShop : ICDMAI

IICMR strongly believes that world-class education is the stepping stone for progress of every country. As the field of Information Technology is growing exponentially, the responsibility of Higher Education Institutes has increased multifold. With this context IICMR jointly organized ICDMAI 2018 a three-day International Conference with Computer Society of India, Div II and Pune section. It was supported by IT industries like IBM, TCS, Ellicium Solutions Pvt.Ltd,. Omnes Law, Qubix Microsystems Pvt.Ltd. and premier academic universities like Savitribai Phule Pune University, Lincoln University Malaysia, Defence institute of advanced technology Pune and the publication partner Springer and CSI. The conference was designed to provide a common platform to the scientists, professors, research scholars, industry experts and students from all over the globe to share and disseminate knowledge on their original research. The conference was aimed at gathering of experts to deliberate about their own and each other’s work, to hear experts illustrate on their work and to exchange their views on various topics relevant to the conference theme.

The main objectives of ICDMAI 2018 were:

  1. To organize keynote sessions by experts to set the central theme of the conference.
  2. To arrange pre-conference tutorial sessions and workshops to set the right context.
  3. To organize plenary talks to provide additional research highlights and to arrange demonstrations and workshops on the innovative projects .
  4. To provide a platform to present research work in the form of oral/poster presentation in the field of Data Management & Smart Informatics, Big Data Management, Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytic, Advances in Network Technologies.
  5. To arrange discussions on novel ideas and innovations to provide insight on various aspects of evolving technological advances for digitizing India.
  6. To discuss the challenges in adopting the technologies, with a view to make recommendations concerning the problems under discussion.

Professor (Dr.) Rajesh Arora’s He is an approved Professor Cum Directorby University of Mumbai & SPPU,Dr. Deepak Shikarpur Technopreneur.
The chief mentor of ICDMAI 2018 was Mr.Vijay Bhatkar, who is one of the internationally acknowledged scientist and IT leaders of India. Dr.Pradeep Kumar Sinha presided as General chair who is the Vice Chancellor & Director of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur. Many Speakers having global presence on National and International façades were invited for the conference talks.
The conference has witnessed participation from 14 industries , 10 international universities and 14 countries. Out of 488 research papers submitted from 133 institutions only 93 papers were selected for Oral presentation.

Audyogik Tantra Shikshan Sanshta’s Institute of Industrial and Computer Management and Research organized IT CONCLAVE 2017, a two days program on 10th and 11th Feb 2017. It was an attempt to bring an opportunity for students & teaching fraternity at IICMR to interact with IT personnel from diverse backgrounds. It would give them a chance to peep into the realities that the Industry holds today.

The objectives of the programme were:

Skills & Strengths to quick start your IT Career; Skills to be honed for sustainable IT career” The program was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Pradhan, Associate Vice President, Cognizant. Directors Dr.Deepali Sawai, Dr.Abhay Kulkarni, Dr.Ashwini Kulkarni were present for the event. Second Session was started by Mr. Vivek Jahagirdar , TIBCO Solution Architect, TCS on “Cloud Computing Concepts and its impact on IT Industry”. In his session he shared the story of Instagram to open the discussion on cloud computing concept. Third Session was started by Mr. Sandip Pawar Sr. Product Lead, Synechron on “Evolution and Trends in Web Technology”. In his session he shared about all the latest technology for web development like HTML5, CSS3 , AngularJs.

Fourth Session was Panel Discussion on “How to Face and Ace the Technology Race”

Mr.Vinod Sharma,Capgemini shared the future in Hadoop technology.

Dr. Deepali Sawai gave Welcome Note and briefed about IT Conclave.

The main object ives of conducting IT-Conclave are:

Guest of Honor Mr. Rajas Gokhale talked about Big data from various fields . In Key note address Mr. Kumar Gaurav guided students on Career Opportunities in the field of Mobility. In his speech he added that three big trends in mobile computing are mHealth care, mAutomotive, and mEducation. First session on 21st March 2014 was started on Advance Databases and Applications by Mr.Rahul Dandekar, Senior Principal Service Delivery Engineer, Oracle Corporation.

In his session he delivered the key concepts as performance, scalability, high availability and disaster recovery in the field of Database. Second session was on Power of Oracle Certifications by Mr. Bikram Das from Oracle Corporation. He guided the studnts on Oracle certification programmes like OCA,OCP, OCM, OCAJP and their benefits. Last session of Day 1 was on Mobile Computing by Mr.Sachin Mohite, Technical Manager Senate Technologies. In his session he discussed about accessing location based services (GPS WiFi) in android..

On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Prof. Usha Madyar. First session was on Future skill requirements to guarantee a career in IT industry, sector specific skill gaps by Mr.Kaustubh Bhadbhade , Sr.Manager, HR,Persistent Systems Ltd. In his session he shared that common sense is the biggest skill required in IT industry. Second Session was started by Mr. Mahesh Thorat, Project Manager, Barclays and Project Manager Mr.Jaydeep Godbole, Cognizant. Mr.Jaydeep Godbole talked on the necessity of software testing in the entire software development life cycle Mr.Mahesh Thorat spoke on the different myths about software testing. He also added that enterprenurship, leadership & managerial skills are required to become a good tester Afternoon session started with Panel Discussion on Students Skill set: Career Success. It was moderated by Prof. Usha Madyar,Prof Renu Mathew and Prof.Kiran Shinde.
