International Conference on Data Management, Analytics and Innovation(ICDMAI 2018)

IICMR strongly believes that world-class education is the stepping stone for progress of every country. As the field of Information Technology is growing exponentially, the responsibility of Higher Education Institutes has increased multifold. With this context IICMR jointly organized ICDMAI 2018 a three-day International Conference with Computer Society of India, Div II and Pune section. It was supported by IT industries like IBM, TCS, Ellicium Solutions Pvt.Ltd,. Omnes Law, Qubix Microsystems Pvt.Ltd. and premier academic universities like Savitribai Phule Pune University, Lincoln University Malaysia, Defence institute of advanced technology Pune and the publication partner Springer and CSI. The conference was designed to provide a common platform to the scientists, professors, research scholars, industry experts and students from all over the globe to share and disseminate knowledge on their original research. The conference was aimed at gathering of experts to deliberate about their own and each other’s work, to hear experts illustrate on their work and to exchange their views on various topics relevant to the conference theme. The main objectives of ICDMAI 2018 were:
1. To organize keynote sessions by experts to set the central theme of the conference.
2. To arrange pre-conference tutorial sessions and workshops to set the right context.
3. To organize plenary talks to provide additional research highlights and to arrange demonstrations and workshops on the innovative projects .
4. To provide a platform to present research work in the form of oral/poster presentation in the field of Data Management & Smart Informatics, Big Data Management, Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytic, Advances in Network Technologies.
5. To arrange discussions on novel ideas and innovations to provide insight on various aspects of evolving technological advances for digitizing India.
6. To discuss the challenges in adopting the technologies, with a view to make recommendations concerning the problems under discussion.

Professor (Dr.) Rajesh Arora’s He is an approved Professor Cum Directorby University of Mumbai & SPPU,Dr. Deepak Shikarpur Technopreneur. The chief mentor of ICDMAI 2018 was Mr.Vijay Bhatkar, who is one of the internationally acknowledged scientist and IT leaders of India. Dr.Pradeep Kumar Sinha presided as General chair who is the Vice Chancellor & Director of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur. Many Speakers having global presence on National and International façades were invited for the conference talks. The conference has witnessed participation from 14 industries , 10 international universities and 14 countries. Out of 488 research papers submitted from 133 institutions only 93 papers were selected for Oral presentation.

Audyogik Tantra Shikshan Sanshta’s Institute of Industrial and Computer Management and Research organized IT CONCLAVE 2018, on 17th Feb 2018. It was an attempt to bring an opportunity for students & teaching fraternity at IICMR to interact with IT personnel from diverse backgrounds. It would give them a chance to peep into the realities that the Industry holds today.

The objectives of the programme were:

  1. To develop Business Perspective need among Computer Management students with a view to strengthen their capabilities through interaction with varied Industry Experts.
  2. To enlighten students on scope for entrepreneurship
  3. To create awareness in upcoming trends in technology, work –life culture and various career paths.

The program was comprised of various learning sessions like

  1. Resume Building-Do’s & Dont’s
  2. Panel Discussion: -‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’

Ms. Kiran Shinde, gave welcome address to students and guest. Dr. Deepali Sawai addressed about the objectives of the IT Conclave program. She addressed the students about various career paths available after MCA, how certifications are important for future career.The program was inaugurated by Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group, Director, IICMR-MCA Dr.Deepali Sawai was present for the event.

Mr. Ajay Ghuge , Barclays – He spoke about various salesforce platforms and various certifications which are required career building.
Ms. Nikita sharma ,KPIT , shared her experience about her work as a DBA. She talked about current database trends.
Amatjit singh , PTC talked about augmented reality , artificial intelligence.
Mr. Sagar Shirodkar of Nuance Communications, told about latest trends in BI, Data Warehousing as well as what are the pre requisite for starting career in the same.
Mr. Ayyan Peerjade of Coditas Technologies Pvt. Ltd ., explained about mobile platforms and development of hybrid and native applications. He also shared his experience being a freelancer.
Mr. Chatur Shriganesh , Barclays, cleared the doubt of student regarding testing myths. He also shared his views regarding test driven development. He further talked about team behaviour, team work, passion about work which helps improvement in skills.
The day concluded with a fruitful panel discussion on -‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’ under the moderation of Mr. Sanjay Mathapati and Ms. Kiran Shinde. Panelists shared their views which are as follows:
Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group shared do’s and don’t about resume writing. He explained importance of resume for getting job in industry. He also talked about facts of resume writing with examples.

IICMR -MCA Department organized a two days student development initiative, IT Conclave 2020-2021 on 17th and 18th October 2020 .IT Conclave 2020 was inaugurated by Mr. Kshamesh P Atnoorkar, Application Development Specialist at Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director-MCA, IICMR and Ms. Renu Mathew, HoD MCA.  Dr. Deepali Sawai in her address briefed about IT Conclave   and highlighted on latest technology trends such as AI, ML, IOT, RPA, AR & VR. The Inaugural address and the first Session, Docker for Beginners was delivered by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kshamesh P Atnoorkar, and Application Development Specialist at Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd. He spoke about Docker, its need and benefits through a demonstration.  How to deploy application with Docker Container was the takeaway. The Second Session, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) was delivered by Mr. Shrirang Kamble, Senior Consultant, Infosys Ltd. The session highlighted the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacture, to service and disposal. The first post lunch Session, Exploring ETL Testing was delivered by Ms.Sonali Dangare Assistant Manager-QA, Synechron Technologies Pvt Ltd . She focused on ETL Architecture, ETL Process testing, Data Extraction process architecture and Tools used for ETL. The second session, post lunch was on Resilience (Chaos!) Engineering delivered by Mr. Manish Raj, Technical Consultant @IBM, UK. He highlighted on what is Resilience, when to test Resilience and Chaos Engineering-Chaos Monkey & Simian Army.On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Ms. Pooja Kalange. The first Session, Journey of Cloud Computing was delivered by Mr. Nitin Jenekar-Technical Lead at Xoriant Solutions. He spoke about growth of Cloud in the last two decades, Micro services & Containerization, Serverless computing. The Second Session, Overview of SAP Technologies-Best Option to accelerate your Career differently was delivered by Mr. Ashutosh Todkar -SAP Sales Cloud Solution Expert, SAP India Pvt Ltd. The session highlighted on SAP offerings, SAP Eco-System and SAP Technologies. Post lunch a Panel Discussion was conducted on ‘Mapping of Technologies and Skill Sets to start a Career Post Pandemic’. The panelists were Mr. Ashish Sharma, Sr. Analyst Programmer, Barclays, Mr. Navnath Kale, Technical Officer, Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry Of Defence, Mr. Ajinkya Kasar, Senior Software Engineer, Capita , Mr. Atul Rajguru, Senior Automation Engineer, Plex Systems and Mr. Rahul Kumar ,Senior Software Engineer, Scientific Games Corporation. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr.Priya Deshpande, Research Head, IICMR and Mr. Sanjay Mathapati, Assistant Professor, IICMR. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Renu Mathew HoD MCA.

The Seminar was inaugurated by the eminent IT personality Mr. Kumar Gaurav (Global Head, Consulting, Zensar), Mr. Rajas Gokhale, Sr.Manager, Analytics and Risk Center of Excellence, FSGBU at Capgemini, Director IICMR Dr.Abhay Kulkarni, Executive Director Dr.Ashwini Kulkarni, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Technical Director IICMR. Dr. Deepali Sawai gave Welcome Note and briefed about IT Conclave.

The main object ives of conducting IT-Conclave are:

Guest of Honor Mr. Rajas Gokhale talked about Big data from various fields . In Key note address Mr. Kumar Gaurav guided students on Career Opportunities in the field of Mobility. In his speech he added that three big trends in mobile computing are mHealth care, mAutomotive, and mEducation. First session on 21st March 2014 was started on Advance Databases and Applications by Mr.Rahul Dandekar, Senior Principal Service Delivery Engineer, Oracle Corporation. In his session he delivered the key concepts as performance, scalability, high availability and disaster recovery in the field of Database. Second session was on Power of Oracle Certifications by Mr. Bikram Das from Oracle Corporation. He guided the studnts on Oracle certification programmes like OCA,OCP, OCM, OCAJP and their benefits. Last session of Day 1 was on Mobile Computing by Mr.Sachin Mohite, Technical Manager Senate Technologies. In his session he discussed about accessing location based services (GPS WiFi) in android..

On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Prof. Usha Madyar. First session was on Future skill requirements to guarantee a career in IT industry, sector specific skill gaps by Mr.Kaustubh Bhadbhade , Sr.Manager, HR,Persistent Systems Ltd. In his session he shared that common sense is the biggest skill required in IT industry. Second Session was started by Mr. Mahesh Thorat, Project Manager, Barclays and Project Manager Mr.Jaydeep Godbole, Cognizant. Mr.Jaydeep Godbole talked on the necessity of software testing in the entire software development life cycle Mr.Mahesh Thorat spoke on the different myths about software testing. He also added that enterprenurship, leadership & managerial skills are required to become a good tester Afternoon session started with Panel Discussion on Students Skill set: Career Success. It was moderated by Prof. Usha Madyar,Prof Renu Mathew and Prof.Kiran Shinde.
